The Knife Foxes are Nad Greentail’s pirate crew of miscreants. Many are deserters, drifters, and drudges from seedy corners of the world seeking easy fortune.
When not arguing with their self-appointed Tanuki Captain, they bumble around, hoping to catch victims unaware with their knives.
In this blog post, I talk about the long process drawing these knife fox bandits from paper to digital screen!
Continue readingIt’s incredible that it’s already summer and halfway thorough the year! I’m keeping my nose to the grindstone, working on Blackmask, and popping up at small conventions to keep my art out there.
Let me give you a scoop on what I’ve been doing for the past few months and what the future brings for the next few months!
Continue readingOver the past few months I’ve been keeping myself busy with special art tasks. Convention appearances have been light, but I still go out to them show off my artwork. Let me give you a scoop on what I’ve been doing for the past few months and what the future brings for the next few months!
Later into the summer on July 20th, I’m returning to Lockport, IL for Comicopolis!
This show is one of my top shows as I enjoy the community and commodore among the other artists and fans! It’s also fun to walk around Lockport to see the historical sites!
Continue readingDuring my time learning Gouache, I tried to make it fun for myself and paint a series of goblins with huge asses. I made a step further to expanding my art skills and work with a media I’ve always been curious about.
I’ll walk you through my process of creating this small painting.
Continue readingIn the effort to push myself to make more pixel art, I tried out a weekly pixel art challenge to motivate myself with a deadline.
The first one I finished was a quick Draw This in Your Own Style Challenge for Jpbravart on Twitter. I was keen on the design and I wanted to be more selfless with my art output. It’s a better way to draw fan art without dealing with the disappointment by general nerd media.
Continue readingI return again with a new Weekly Sketchbook! I’m preparing for new conventions, so sketch stuff has been minimal this week.
This week I did some digital art to a finished point. I saw cow bikini’s show up on my Pinterest and I had a tiny gag in mind.
Continue readingAnother week of sketches I’ve been cooking up in my spare time to keep myself going during the daily grind.
This week and the future, I’m starting a new task where I scan and show art that I’ve been working on for the past few days.
These are the daily sketches I post on my social accounts as fuzzy phone pictures. When I get the time, I scan them and edit the pictures for clarity or future coloring. Being honest with myself, these end up just being in my computer files and then abandoned as it’s hard to finish art when I hate the coloring process.
Continue readingIt’s been a long year, I’d say! 2023 had plenty of ups and downs, but overall, I’m alright with this year.
Besides all my art stuff, going to conventions, and I losing my iPad, I’ve been living a simple enough life. Back in August to went on a trip to Arizona to met up with my friends and visit SabotenCon. The previous time I went to Arizona, we did more hiking and exploring the state. Most of my 2023 trip was wandering the convention, but I’d love to comeback again and visit the Grand Canyon or Las Vegas.
As of wring this, I’m doing laundry and not feeling that my day is any special. I still waste my time wondering what I did wrong in the year and hoping that I can fix what’s wrong with me in the future. For now, I’ll look back on what I’ve been doing for the past month and the past year.
