This month isn’t eventful for me. I had a life emergency that need my attention, so my art progress isn’t going crazy. I’ve been taking more hours at my day job to catch up on some heavy money issues. Nothing too debilitating, just need to save up money to prepare for next year’s conventions and my car problems.
I’ve given up on trying to make Incident at the Game Store a giant article. So instead, I’ve broken it down into a multi-part series of articles. They go through the long process of creating Game Store from start to finish. After I complete thess articles and another printing of the story, I’ll shelve this away and dwelling on it. You can even begin reading my first two parts of these articles! They talk about Making Thumbnail Sketches and Gathering References!
Blackmask development is moving along, as Adam, my programmer, has brought on another programmer to help out! My own art duties are still light enough that I’m not actively hunting for an artist, but I am looking at some potential helpers to talk with and figure out personal art stuff.
Most of my writing stuff is occupied with Blackmask writing. I’m doing my best to keep a single direction to completion instead of jumping to completely different directions. I write when I have spare time. I was writing my first draft of Blackmask’s Demo storyboard while doing a late night bus route before Thanksgiving.
All I had is my clipboard, some printer paper, and a $20 mechanical pencil. So I work at Blackmask whether I’m inspired or not. Most times I’m distracted and draw other things, but I still have the chance to work when I’m at a spot to sit down and work.
It’s nearly the end of the year, so let’s hope I can press forward in a satisfactory way!
