This November weekend on the 8th through 10th, I return to Windycon 50! In addition to all the great hangouts, tabletop sessions, dealers hall and art showings, there’s also a giant plethora of panels to go to! There, I’ll be hosting and speaking at many of panels!

Is there a set of best practices or rules to follow? Me an few other speakers will be at the table discussing the minefield of being online. I hope my younger point of view will help shed light on the more fickle aspects of the internet.

How to Find & Sell Artwork at Art Shows and Conventions

I will be moderating this panel as I ask the speakers how they tackling the ebbs and flows of making money selling your artwork.

What can you, as an author, artist, sculptor, or costumer, do to care for yourself in the throes of your creative muse? I’ll moderate this panel and asked the speakers how they handle their mental health while navigating the tenuous life of creating art, crafts, and writing.

How to Write a Self-Published Comic

At this panel, I discus how one can start creating new comics and writing a story with words and pictures! I’ll be sharing my own comics and answering questions about the process of making good comics.

Self-Publishing: Pros and Cons

I’m moderating this panel to have the speakers discuss self-publishing. They talk about how they started, how they maintain their careers, and overcoming the challenges of being their own creator, publisher, and seller.

Getting Started and Building a Career as an Independent Comic Artist

Do you like to draw comics? Would you like to build a career around your passion? Find out how!I’ll be chatting with other speakers to discuss, how to turn that small interest in telling stories into a budding hobby to a potential creative discipline!

1984 or 2024?

With the changing education system, children are no longer learning cursive or “negative” events. Are we raising the future to be ignorant and malleable? As a recent youngster in the creative world, I’ll drop my perspective on how the future generation might be affected by this chaotic reality we’re all experiencing.

Wonderful Books Wrapped in Awful Cover Art

Is cover art a thing of the past? In the age of digital literature and the decline of the printed novel, is cover art even necessary? Does cover art influence the sales and enjoyment of the finished process? As an artist, I’ll be speaking along with others to crack fun and give insights to the wonderful and weird world of book cover art and the future of marketing books with covers.

With all this, WindyCon is going to be a fascinating departure from my usual convention goings, so I’m excited t see how things will turn out! After this show is SableCon and PocketCon as the year wraps up!
