I was having trouble with figuring out what the heck to do with my art, so I decided to participate in Journey June on a comic called: The Pizza Man! Per it’s rules, It was completely improvised and I had no real story planned besides whatever daily prompts tell me.
You can read the entire comic here!
My comic for this art challenge is called, The Pizza Man: The story of a simple pizza delivery driver, who must drive through insane obstacles to complete his order on time.

Journey June is a monthly art challenge on Instagram created by Cloverkin & Galvosaur in vein of March of Robots, Inktober, and Mermay, where in the month of June, you are tasked with creating completely new comic story on the basic template of the Hero’s Journey, one of the simplest and most famous templates for storytelling, broken into daily chunks to finish a story over the course of a month. No existing art, stories, or characters prior to this can be allowed.
The point of this wasn’t to make a gigantic polished comic, but to teach myself actual storytelling, keeping a narrative line and most importantly, consistency.
Being a pizza delivery driver really compliments the “Journey” aspect of this art challenge, plus it’s a small way to distinguish myself from the other comics doing the challenge that had more of a Fantasy bent to them. Per it’s rules, My comic was completely improvised and I had no real story or ending planned besides whatever the daily prompts tell me, so none of the characters or locations were designed or pre-drawn before this challenge.
