I’m keeping my head above water with my commissions and other art, but I feel slightly more accomplished in the past few weeks as I’ve been learning to make edit videos like my chat with Bryant Bell. We talk about art, conventions, and life stuff so if you have an hour or time, please give it a listen.
I even did video of a time-lapse of the entire 2-hour process of an actual digital painting that I don’t 100% hate, so that’s progress.
It’s resonated with people in a decent way I’d say (probably because of the cow titties). I’m still clingy on my more lined style but the fact that this seems much looser is a step forward in my digital art skills.
Some of this looser art has also been bleeding toward my personal work such as my Cole Blackmask stuff. Currently, I’m writing a broad strokes outline of the story, building up a simple intro and working on more sprites.
I’ve worried less about making these art pieces look good and pushed to having a daily draw that gets out my ideas. I think I’m benefiting from it, but I’m sure you wouldn’t notice the difference.
I’mstill at it with new pixel art for the game. I gave Adam a large pool of stuff to use for Cole’s Gameplay. So I think I’m able to slow down on Cole’s stuff for a bit. The only things to do with Cole is to add other weapons animations and polish current animations that aren’t as good.
