I’ve been drawing small stuff to pay my bills, fill my portfolio, and staying busy. Despite, constantly feeling like I’m behind on everything I’m getting the things expected of me done.
Progress is being made working on the Illustrations on Flawless Extra-Ordinary Superheroes, knocking out a larger illustration and pushing forward to the next few ones.
I’m currently coloring the comic Genesis by Kahlil Holloway who’s done the art and inks. I’ve even been livestreaming the coloring process as I go on my Twitch Channel. Speaking of which, I decided to stream exclusively on Twitch because that’s where most of the people who chat on my streams are on and it’s easier to for me to manage the stream tech with little headache on my end.
I was having trouble with figuring out what the heck to do with my art, so for the month of June, I decided to participate in an art challenge called Journey June. It was a bit of a slog and I had a bunch of all-nighters catching up with it while working on my normal art duties, but it had some decent results and people seemed to like it. I’ll have some more information once I get all the pages in order and on the site for everyone to read.
When I’m not working on commissions, I’m coloring old artwork that I have in my sketchbooks. It’s mostly misc stuff for my Blackmask comic.
I got the bug to make a Gameboy sprite sheet of Cole. I was experimenting with making pixel art brushes and it all spiraled out from there. I should animate or prototype it in a game engine one day.
I despite all the stuff I’m working on, I still think I’m behind on things. I still need to work on improving this website because I hate how it looks, and I have a bunch of tutorial articles that I’ve been editing and rewriting, but I’m sure it’ll work out in the end.
